Cinnamon-Scented Mango Lamb

Ingredients
6 lamb sirloin chops
salt and pepper
3 fresh mangoes
1 1/2 tablespoon melted butter or margarine
flaked cinnamon stick

Directions
Wash fresh, ripe mangoes.
With a sharp knife, cut a thick slice off each side.
With the tip of the knife, cut the flesh of each cheek into 3-4 slices,
being careful not to pierce the flesh.
Pull the skin away from the flesh, leaving the slices ready for use
Trim excess fat from chops.
Sprinkle lightly with salt and pepper.
Place on a broiler rack.
Broil first side until well browned and edges are crisp.
Turn chops over and broil for about 3 minutes.
Remove from heat and place 3-4 strips of mango on top of each chop.
Brush with melted butter and sprinkle with flaked cinnamon stick.
Continue broiling unti chops are suitably cooked and the mango lightly browned.
